Scholarship Requirements

Eligibility Criteria

  Member Sponsorship – Each Udoka member in good financial standing may submit up to two names of relatives or friends from Orlu Senatorial zone based on financial need during the submission period of May 1st through May 31st.

  Candidate must be an indigene of Orlu Senatorial Zone and in 2nd or 3rd year in a Degree/Diploma awarding Institution in Nigeria, verifiable through:

  • (a) Letter of Admission clearly stating the candidate’s name and/or ID number, school, date of admission, and course of study.
  • (b) Candidate’s current school picture ID or a certified/stamped letter from the Dean or Head of Department indicating the candidate’s name, year of admission, current year in the institution, and course of study.
  • (c) Candidate’s 1st or 2nd year Statement of Result or Transcript. (Optional but highly recommended).

  Eligible Udoka members must submit their candidate names to the Financial Secretary by the May 31st submission deadline.

  A random selection drawing of ten (10) candidates will be conducted on the first Saturday in August 2026.
• ✦
  All required verification documents for the randomly selected candidates must be completed by November 1st to receive the award on the first Sunday of December.
• ✦
  Udoka will review all submitted verification documents as stated above prior to the disbursement of the one-time three hundred dollars ($300) award to each verified randomly selected candidate.

Member Sponsorship Requirements

1. Only Udoka members in good financial standing may submit up to two names of relatives or friends from Orlu Senatorial Zone based on financial need.
2. Candidates must meet the stated Udoka Home Scholarship Program eligibility criteria.
3. The submission timeline for candidate information is May 1st through May 31st.
4. Eligible members must submit the following candidate information to the Financial Secretary, Lolo Helen Ajih, at 323-717-3963 on or before the deadline:
   • • Candidate’s name as it appears on the admission letter, school ID and other documents.
   • • Name of the higher institution the candidate is attending.
   • • Candidate’s current year in the higher institution (e.g. 2nd year or 3rd year).
   • • The candidate’s Senatorial Zone of origin.
5. Upon notification of selection in the random drawing, members must ensure complete and timely submission of all required verification documents by November 1st.
